ANNA PLUMMER

Anna trained as a dancer from a young age and is a certified member of the Zumba Instructor Network™. She holds a BA in Theater & Dance and English from Amherst College and works full-time at the Emily Dickinson Museum as Program Coordinator. Anna has choreographed for and performed in numerous regional theatrical productions and has enjoyed teaching dance and fitness classes to a wide range of ages and experience levels. She wanted to become a Zumba® instructor the moment she was introduced to this fantastic Latin dance party/fitness blend in 2010, and she seeks out Zumba classes wherever she travels. Anna’s class offers the undeniable fun of sweating it out judgment-free to a mix of Zumba’s trademark South American beats and pop favorites. Since she began instructing, she has continued to observe Zumba as a powerful means of building community and boosting physical and mental health, and she is passionate about sharing her energy and love of movement to this end. In her spare moments, she enjoys hiking and trail running. Certifications: Zumba Basic 1, First Aid/CPR/AED (American Heart Association).

ERIC BURRI

Eric Burri has studied and practiced yoga since 1994 and has been teaching since 2000. He began his yoga studies at UMass-Amherst with Marilyn Hart and continued his teacher training with Patty Townsend.

Eric’s practice and teaching unite the physical alignment details of Iyengar Yoga with the breathing and dynamic movement of Ashtanga Vinyasa and the emotional attentiveness of Kripalu Yoga.  He favors a slow flow style of class that reliably guides you deeply into the postures following the natural rhythm of your breath.

He is a deeply knowledgeable teacher with an excellent understanding of sequencing that has developed over many years. Eric's teaching creates an atmosphere of exploration, reverence and self-respect.

FLAVIA CUNHA

In 2001, I won a raffle prize in a fundraising at my daughter's school: Five Zumba classes. I had no idea how much that prize would change my life. I had been an active person during my childhood and adolescence, but as an adult I had not been very successful in committing to exercising regularly. I immediately fell in love with Zumba and, soon after, I started incorporating other kinds of exercise into my routine, such as BODYPUMP. Now, I cannot imagine my life without daily exercise.

I decided to become a licensed Zumba instructor in 2015, as a means to help inspire others to exercise. I also became a licensed Zumba Gold instructor in 2019 to reach a different clientele. Come to a Zumba and/or Zumba Gold class and you won't regret it - you will leave happy, healthy, and energized!

JANICE LAVIGNE

Janice took her first Zumba® class as part of a plan to help her get back into shape and exercise on a regular basis – and was immediately hooked. The exhilarating and effective workout that Zumba® classes provide helped her build stamina and endurance, and also nurtured a new-found love for fitness. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, Janice understands and believes that leading a sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle is far worse than the effort and time dedicated to working out. She loves teaching and shares her passion for Zumba® by encouraging, motivating and helping people reach their own fitness goals while they participate in her classes which feature Latin and International rhythms. Janice is licensed to teach Zumba® Fitness and several Zumba® specialty programs. She holds the following certifications: AFAA Group Fitness, Bodybeach’s PiYo, and is First Aid/CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross.

KAYCIE LANE

Kaycie completed her post-doctural position at UMass Amherst and is now a professor at the University of Nebraska. Kaycie is both a Personal Trainer and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor. She teaches many class formats, including Barre, PiYo Live, BODYBALANCE™, BODYCOMBAT™, BODYPUMP™, Zumba, Zumba Toning, Strong Nation, and Pound.
