What would you do if taken by surprise?
What is self-defense? "Physical self-defense is the use of physical force to counter an immediate threat of violence. The chances of success depend on a large number of parameters, related to the severity of the threat on one hand, but also on the mental and physical preparedness of the defender". Check out the article about a woman who used the skills she learned in a self-defense class just 3-weeks prior to being attacked.
No woman should be without a basic skill set with which she can protect herself. With that in mind, we are pleased to offer self-defense classes for girls entering grades 9-12 and women 18+ years of age on a rotating, monthly basis.
This course is designed to provide girls/women with the education and techniques needed to protect themselves on a fundamental level.
Topics will include, among other things:
* Bullying * Striking
* Harassment * Grabs
* Unwelcome Advances * Ground Attacks
