OSTEOPOROSIS Exercise Classes
Regular weight-bearing aerobic exercise and progressive resistance training can strengthen bones and muscles and help reduce or slow bone loss in people with Osteoporosis. Posture and balance exercises can also strengthen muscles and improve balance while reducing the risk of falls and injuries.
Are you living with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia?
Do you want to attend group fitness classes specifically designed for those with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia?
Are you interested in improving the strength of your heart, lungs, and other muscles while incorporating balance challenges to help prevent falls?
You have come to the right place! We have added a series of "Small Group Training" classes to our September schedule, designed specifically for those with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia. The classes are limited to 5 people and advance sign-up is required. NOTE: Unlike our other Osteoporosis programs, these classes do not involve Powerpoint educational discussion segments - people simply come in and participate in 55-minute group fitness classes under the guidance of a BoneFit™ trained professional. The exercises and movements used in the classes will be appropriate for those living with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia.
The weekly classes will be held at 11:30am on Fridays, beginning on September 05. Click on the button, below, to register.
