OSTEOPOROSIS CONSULTATION
Have you been diagnosed with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia? What was your initial reaction? Surprise? Fear? Confusion?
Once diagnosed, many people are often left to their own devices to find out as much as they can about these bone diseases. Having done their own research, many people still have questions, are uncertain about what types of exercise they should do, and are not sure what specific exercises are appropriate, safe, and effective for them.
We can help! An individual consultation with our BoneFit™ Trained Professional will help you make sense of the available information and give you the opportunity to address your specific concerns so you can move forward and continue to lead the active, healthy life you desire.
Consultations can be conducted live stream over video or in-person at The Aerobics and Fitness Studio. The 1.25-hour consultation is based on your specific goals. The scope of items typically covered are listed below:
1) Posture: You will be guided through best posture suggestions, stretches and strength exercises to assist your posture goals.
2) Body Mechanics: Assessment and recommendations are based on the demands life presents to you - work, exercise, hobbies, etc.
3) Balance: Assessing your balance is essential to giving you the right balance exercises. Improving your balance is essential to fall
prevention.
4) Strength: A review of your current exercise routine to ensure safety and effectiveness.
5) Flexibility: Assessment of your flexibility is important. Flexibility allows you to move with better body mechanics to keep your
body safe. Specific recommendations will be provided.
